The two-seat F-16B Block 10, identified with tail number M-1210, is the first of a batch of 24 fighters acquired by Argentina from Denmark. This acquisition marks a significant step for Argentina’s military aviation after years of attempts to bypass sanctions imposed by the United Kingdom. The $300 million contract includes, in addition to the aircraft, four simulators, eight additional engines, and a large stock of spare parts. The aircraft arrived in Argentina in December 2024.
Authorities also announced that six more F-16s are expected to be delivered to the country by the end of 2025, strengthening the operational capacity of the Argentine Air Force and modernizing its combat fleet.
